Held of XIe with the beginning of XVe century by the family of this name, then by a collateral branch, Castelnau was the seat of significant a châtellenie quercinoise which gave bishops of Rodez and Cahors to XVe and XVIe century. The castle had never to undergo a seat, perhaps its defenses provided for it. It was saved ruin since 1896 by the singer Jean Mouliérat who assembled collections of arts there. particularly thanks the conservative and administrator for the castle of Castelnau-Bretenoux for the photographs of the castles as well as the information on this one.

- on October 1 at March 30 of 10h at 12h15 and 14h at 17h15

Caution: Closing of ticketting and last departure of visit 45 minutes before the closing of the castle.

Tariffing: 5,50 € for the adults and 3,50 € in reduced tariff

The castle is closed on January 1, May 1, 1st and November 11, December 25 as well as Tuesday between October 1 and March 30.
