Disputed a long time between the kings of France and England, the fortress of Issoudun, located at the heart of Berry, is a curious mixture of know-how. One clearly detects there the leg of the architects to the pay of Plantagenêts, but also that of the engineers of king Philippe Auguste.

The castle is open all days :

- on April 1 at September 30 Monday at Saturday of 14h with 18h and Sunday of 10h with 12h and 14h with 19h

Night spectacle:

- May, June and September saturdays starting from 21h30
- July and August of Wednesday at Saturday with 22h00

The castle is closed on October 1 at March 31
